        Fulvio MARTUSCIELLO (EPP, IT) will chair the EP delegation to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel. He will be joined by Olga SEHNALOVÁ (S&D, CZ), Bastiaan BELDER (ECR, NL), Marijana PETIR (EPP, HR), Miltiadis KYRKOS (S&D, EL), Costas MAVRIDES (S&D, CY), Branislav ŠKRIPEK (ECR, SK), Ramon TREMOSA i BALCELLS (ALDE, ES) and Martina MICHELS (GUE/NGL, DE).


        The visit will start in Jerusalem, where European Parliament/Knesset Interparliamentary meetings will be held with the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee, the Knesset Delegation for relations with the EP, chaired by MK Yaakov Perry, the Speaker of the Knesset, MK Yuli Edelstein, and with representatives from several political parties. Discussions will focus on EU-Israel relations, the Middle East Peace process and the escalation of violence in Jerusalem and elsewhere, as well as the security situation in the Middle East.


        The second part of the mission will take place in Tel Aviv, where MEPs will visit High Tech companies and discuss EU-Israel relations in the field of science and technology.

        Delegation to London (UK) from the Constitutional Affairs Committee 

        A delegation of members of the constitutional affairs committee will visit London on Monday, 16 and Tuesday, 17 November to meet various government ministers, parliamentary committees of the House of Commons and the House of Lords and civil society and think-tanks. The discussion will focus on the referendum to be organised in the UK, the institutional future of the EU and several issues currently on the committee's agenda.

        The situation of the media in the Eastern partnership countries and Russia

        The European Parliament and the European Commission are holding a joint seminar for journalists over two days on 17-18 November in Brussels titled "The situation of the media in the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia". The main aim is to discuss the challenges facing independent journalists and media organisations in these countries and the role of the European institutions in supporting press freedom, although broader questions of political, social and economic reform in the region may also be explored.

        Commemorative ceremony for Paris attack victims

        Members and staff of the European Parliament will gather in the plenary chamber for a brief commemorative ceremony in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris and to express solidarity with French citizens and authorities. 


        The commemoration will be led by EP President Martin Schulz. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Council President Donald Tusk have been invited to attend.


        The ceremony will be open to the media and will be webstreamed live on EP Live and EbS+
