      1. Delegation to Colombia 

        A delegation of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee will travel to Bogotá (Colombia) on 20-22 July to meet with members of the government and of parliament, as well as with civil society representatives. The visit will be an opportunity for MEPs to assess progress in the peace process between the government and FARC rebels and reconfirm the EU's support.


        Headed by its chair Elmar BROK (EPP, DE), the delegation will be composed of Cristian Dan PREDA (EPP, RO), Laima Liucija ANDRIKIENĖ (EPP, LT), Andrey KOVATCHEV (EPP, BG), Richard HOWITT (S&D, UK), Javi LOPEZ (S&D, ES), Karol KARSKI (ECR, PL).

      2. Delegation to Mali 

        A delegation of the Security and Defence Subcommittee of the European Parliament, led by its chair Ms. Anna Fotyga (ECR, PL), will go to Bamako, Mali on 18-21 July to meet the country’s leaders and to visit EU’s CSDP missions helping to train the Malian armed forces (EUTM) and to reform Mali’s internal security forces (EUCAP). It will also visit the UN stabilisation force MINUSMA.


        The seven-Member delegation is composed by Ms Anna FOTYGA, David McALLISTER (EPP, DE), Bogdan Andrzej ZDROJEWSKI (EPP, PL), Gilles PARGNEAUX (S&D, FR), Juan Fernando LÓPEZ AGUILAR (S&D, ES), Ryszard CZARNECKI (ECR, PL) and Javier NART (ALDE, ES).

        Delegation to Wroclaw - European Capital of Culture 2016 

        A delegation from the Committee on Culture and Education will visit Wroclaw (Poland) - European Capital of Culture 2016. The Members of the European Parliament will meet representatives of the municipality of Wroclaw and other local authorities as well as the General Director and Heads of projects from the Office of the European Capital of Culture. The programme includes visits to various projects developed in the context of the European Capital of Culture 2016. Members and cultural managers will debate the challenges and the impact of work done in the first months of this programme.

        Delegation to Norway 

        A delegation of four Members from the Committee on Fisheries will visit Norway where they will hold meetings with representatives from the Directorate of fisheries, the Norwegian fishermen’s sales organisation for pelagic fish, the National institute of nutrition and seafood research, the Norwegian seafood Council and the University of Tromsø Science Park. The landing obligation and the cod fishery in the Barents Sea, the seafood safety and markets and the fisheries control will be among the issues to be examined during this mission.
