14 Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament elected

All 14 European Parliament Vice-Presidents were elected in the third round with a simple majority of the valid votes cast Wednesday morning.  In the afternoon, five Quaestors were elected.

Role of Vice-Presidents

Vice-Presidents are Members of the European Parliament Bureau. The Bureau is the body that lays down rules for Parliament. It draws up Parliament’s preliminary draft budget and decides administrative, staff and organisational matters.

Five Quaestors elected


On Wednesday afternoon, Parliament elected 5 Quaestors, Members of the Parliament who deal with administrative matters directly affecting MEPs themselves.



Quaestors were elected in the third ballot by simple majority of the votes. They are:
