Parliament building in Brussels   Most MEPs will be visiting their constituencies this week

MEPs will this week travel to their home countries to get in touch with their constituents. In addition Parliamentary delegations will be visiting countries in and outside Europe, while everyone works hard to finish everything before the summer recess.

Members of the organised crime committee will be in Serbia on 16-18 July, where they will visit EU-funded projects on the confiscation of criminal assets and the detection of drugs. The 10-member delegation will also meet with various people such as the Serbian police, judicial authorities, the interior minister, the national anti-corruption agency and journalists.

An EP delegation will also be travelling to Switzerland for an interparliamentary meeting on 16-17 July. The internal market and economic affairs committees will visit Washington DC at the beginning of the week, while there will also be a delegation in Paraguay until 19 July.

Although there are no official committee meetings or plenaries until September, work will continue in Parliament on a number of key issues including the 2013 budget.

The website will also be regularly updated so check in from time to time to see what's new. In the meantime, click on the right for links to the EP's social media and features.
