EP president Martin Schulz discussed how to strengthen cooperation with France during a visit to Paris on 12-14 July. In meetings with president François Hollande and other French politicians , he discussed the need to strike the right balance between budget discipline and stimulating growth. He also attended Bastille Day celebrations on 14 July.
