When MEPs elected Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission on 15 July 2014, he vowed to focus on ten policy areas, from boosting Europe’s economy to fostering democratic change. Over a year later, Juncker returns to the European Parliament for his first State of the European Union address and MEPs will be eager to hear from him how much has been achieved and what still needs to be done.
