Human trafficking is the exploitation of people against their will by use of force and it is the one of the fastest growing crimes in the world. Between 2013 and 2014 15,846 victims were registered in the EU , 71% of the victims were women and girls, and more than half aged under 25.
This is why the European Parliament continues to prioritise the fight against human trafficking, whether for sexual exploitation, labour, organs or domestic servitude.
