Determining the new balance of the Parliament
In 2014 people in the EU will vote from 22-25 May to determine the new political balance of the incoming Parliament, whose first task will be to decide on a new Commission President. Check out our infographic to find out the composition of the Parliament today.
The 766 members of the European Parliament are divided between seven political groups and a group of non-attached members. They reflect the political will of the European people, from the left to the right. After next year's elections the number of MEPs will be reduced to 751.
