      1. Delegation to Morocco

      2. Human rights in Bolivia 

        A delegation of Human rights subcommittee will travel to La Paz (Bolivia) to meet government, parliament and civil society representatives in order to assess the human rights situation, to learn the achievement and to encourage the further improvements in this field. (Tuesday to Thursday)

         

        The delegation will be composed of Cristian Dan Preda (EPP, RO), Joachim Zeller (EPP, DE), Ana Gomes (S&D, PT), Francisco Assis (S&D, PT) and Ignazio Corrao (EFDD, IT).

      3. Security in Eastern Congo 

        A three MEPs strong delegation of the Security and Defence subcommittee, led by its chair Ms. Anna Fotyga (ECR, PL), will pay a fact-finding mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo next week, to visit UN stabilisation mission (MONUSCO) and to discuss the security situation in Eastern Congo (Tuesday to Friday).


        The delegation will be composed of SEDE chair Anna Fotyga (ECR, PL), Javier Nart (ALDE, ES) and Jean-Luc Schaffhauser (ENF, FR).

      4. Employment and Social Affairs Committee mission to Washington D.C. 

        A delegation of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs will go to Washington D.C., to follow up on issues raised at the Committee’s Working Group on Labour market impacts of digitalisation, robotics and artificial intelligence. Special attention will be paid to the consequences for employment and social protection.

        Budgetary Control Committee mission to Poland 



        • Budgetary Control Committee is going to Poland. The mission will take place from 18 to 21 April. The aim of the mission is to visit several projects financed by different EU financial instruments (JASPER, JESSICA etc.) and the EFSI as well as to visit CONT’s national parliamentary counterparts and national Courts of Auditors, in order to enhance the Committee’s visibility in the Member States.

        Hotspots in Italy: Civil Liberties committee delegation to Rome and Sicily

        A delegation from the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee will visit Rome and Sicily.


        The main purpose of the visit is to deepen MEPs understanding of the functioning of the hotspots and the interplay between the European Union and national actors in different aspects of dealing with large numbers of arrivals of asylum seekers and migrants. The aim is to gain an insight from the situation on the ground through meetings with different institutions and stakeholders, and on-site visits. Related topics include further search and rescue operations, disembarkation procedures and relocation.

        Delegation to Estonia 

        Parliament's Agriculture Committee will send a seven-strong delegation of MEPs to Estonia next week to participate in the AgroForum Mare Balticum conference and to visit the Agricultural fair Maamess. They will also meet Estonian Minister of Rural Affairs and Chairman of Estonian Parliament´s Rural Affairs Committee to discuss priorities of Estonian presidency in the Council, the future of the EU's farm policy, ways to balance the food supply chain and the so-called Omnibus regulation aimed at simplifying the Common Agricultural Policy.

        MEPs Krišjānis KARIŅŠ (EPP), Constanze KREHL (S&D) and Evžen TOŠENOVSKÝ (ECR) from the committee on industry, research and energy will go on a mission to Riga (Latvia) between 20-21 April 2017 to meet with representatives of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC). During the discussions they will address the work programme 2017 and the review of the mid-term strategy as well as the BEREC governance model, new tasks and resources as presented in a draft legislative proposal of the European Commission.
