Hearings: Malmström, Vella, Mimica, Oettinger due to appear today
Cecilia Malmström, Karmenu Vella, Neven Mimica and Günther Oettinger are the first candidate commissioners to appear at the European Parliament for three-hour long interviews.
Today 29 September, you can follow the following hearings:
Cecilia Malmström, the Swedish nominee for trade will be heard by the international trade committee from 14.30 CET. Follow here.
Malta's Karmenu Vella is a commissioner-designate for enviroment, maritame affairs and fisheries. He will be heard in a hearing organised by the environment and fisheries committees from 14.30 CET. Follow live here.
Croatia’s Neven Mimica, candidate for the international cooperation and development portfolio, will face the development committee from 18.30 CET. Follow live here.
Günther Oettinger, from Germany, has been put forward for digital economy and society and will be meeting the members of the industry and culture committees from 18.30 CET. Follow live here.
