"Uncertain Future: Rights and Citizenship in post-Brexit Britain"

One of the greatest questions that surrounds Brexit is how it relates to the current and future residence and citizenship rights for EU nationals. Have there been actual changes in the status of EU nationals since the referendum? Will the rights of EU citizens living in the UK change after Brexit? The EP Information Office in the UK, jointly with UCL European Institute, recently hosted a debate on the matter entitled "Uncertain Future: Rights and Citizenship in post-Brexit Britain". EU support stable, but outlook bleak, finds Eurobarometer poll

What brings EU citizens together is more important than what separates them, say 71% of Europeans, while 53% believe that being an EU member is good for their country, according to Eurobarometer’s latest “Parlemeter” poll, commissioned by the European Parliament and published on Friday. CoderDojo, the Irish winners of the European Citizen's Prize 2016, received their medal on Thursday 29 September in Dublin. Seán Kelly ME, EPP presented the prize to Giustina Mizzoni, Executive Director of Coder Dojo at a special Irish prize-giving ceremony in Dublin. Academics discuss the UK’s historic referendum at Europe House

The UK’s vote to leave the European Union has brought renewed calls for clarity on the likely consequences for the country in the years ahead, and on 30th of June, just one week after the referendum, Europe House was delighted to host a seminar on this topic in Smith Square with Nuffield College Oxford. European Citizen’s Prize

Two UK groups have been honoured today in the 2016 European Citizen’s Prize. Every year a panel of judges chooses laureates from across the member states who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of cooperation and a better mutual understanding between the citizens of the Member States. CoderDojo are Irish winners of the European Citizen’s Prize from the EP

CoderDojo is among the 50 winners of the European Citizen's Prize 2016 of the European Parliament. Since 2008, the prize has been awarded to citizens or organisations that contributed to promoting better mutual understanding and closer integration between citizens or to facilitating cross-border or transnational cooperation within the EU. The winners will receive a medal of honour at an award ceremony in their country and will be invited to a joint event in Brussels in October.
