All refugees face great hardship but women and girls are among the most vulnerable of those travelling to the EU in search of protection from war, human rights abuses and deprivation. Women Refugees top of the agenda for International Women's Day 2016  

Policy leaders and practitioners joined together at Europe House in London on 4th March to discuss the refugee crisis and what more Europe can do to assist women facing hazardous journeys across the continent. The seminar aimed to raise awareness ahead of International Women's Day and the publication of an in-depth study of gender and asylum policy for the European Parliament by Mary Honeyball, Labour MEP for London. Stakeholder Consultation on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund

The EPIO Dublin and Marian Harkin MEP Rapporteur for the EGF, held a consultation in Dublin (Friday 1 April) with stakeholders from a cross section of Irish society to examine the operation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund and to look at recommendations to improve it for the future. EP Ambassador Schools Programme - Workshop in Dublin

European Parliament Ambassador Schools Programme  

The European Parliament Ambassador Schools programme aims to raise awareness amongst young people in secondary education of the impact of the European Union in their daily lives. It offers an engaging and interactive format, training material for various levels, and is free of charge. On 15 January, secondary school teachers from all over Ireland came to the Parliament’s Information office in Dublin for the first ever Ambassador School Workshop.
