10 years of bringing films from Europe to Europeans

Celebrations marking 10 years of the LUX Prize kick off, appropriately, in the Culture Committee.

Legendary director Ken Loach, twice winner of the Palme d’Or and renowned for his gritty dramas, will give the keynote address.

Céline Sciamma, a French screenwriter and director who counts “Girlhood” and “Tomboy” among her critically acclaimed successes, and Italian director Andrea Segre will also take part in a roundtable discussions with MEPs on issues including: European cultural policy, the impact of European Cinema in raising topical and societal issues and how European cinema reflects the need for a better and fairer society.
