Opening of February Brussels plenary session by EP President Antonio Tajani 

President Tajani announced that a statement by EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on “travel restrictions following US President executive orders” would be added as the first item on Wednesday, followed by a debate. A debate on migration along the Central Mediterranean route was added on Wednesday and a debate on democracy and justice in Romania was added as the first item on Thursday.

A VPC/HR Statement on "Managing migration along the Central Mediterranean Route" was added as the third item, after the Commission Statement on the State of the Energy Union.


The oral question on biological low-risk pesticides was postponed to the February II part-session.


The sitting will be extended until 24:00.


Thursday


A debate with the Commission on democracy and justice in Romania was added as the first item in the morning. As a consequence, votes will start at 11.30.
