MEPs will advocate "new, results-oriented, additional, transparent and measurable commitments" to eradicate poverty by mobilising more funding for development, especially as regards basic health and education.
The members of the delegation lead by Gay MITCHELL (EPP, IE) are: Birgit SCHNIEBER-JASTRAM (EPP, DE), Eva ZANICHI (EPP, IT), Michael CASHMAN (S&D, UK), Corina CRETU (S&D, RO), Bill NEWTON DUNN (ALDE, UK) and Nirj DEVA (ECR, UK).
