The agriculture committee will vote on four pieces of legislation to reform the EU's common agricultural policy. This will pave the way for negotiations with member states, which are linked to talks on the EU's long-term budget. A press conference will be held at 14.00 on Thursday. (Wednesday-Thursday)
Mali. The security and defence subcommittee will hold a debate with EU external action service representatives. (Thursday)
Recognising qualifications. MEPs will vote on an update to legislation to make it quicker and easier to get professional qualifications recognised in other member states. Bureaucratic obstacles are hindering worker mobility and the internal market within the EU. (Wednesday)
Finance and Irish presidency ministers. Italian finance minister Vittorio Grilli will be in the economics committee as part of ongoing dialogue on handling the crisis. (Monday) Irish finance minister Michael Noonan will also debate economic issues with MEPs. (Tuesday) Other Irish ministers will discuss the Council presidency programme with MEPs in several other committees. (Monday-Thursday)
European semester. Economics MEPs will vote on a resolution on improving economic coordination in 2013 as part of the so-called "European semester". (Tuesday)
Customs. Internal market MEPs are expected to approve a deal reached with member states on the customs enforcement of intellectual property rights. The legislation aims for smoother functioning of customs to protect European businesses' rights and consumer safety. (Wednesday)
Utilities procurement. Public procurement legislation in the water, energy, transport and postal services sectors will be put to the vote in the internal market committee. The draft legislation is part of a wider package to update procurement rules and make better use of public money. (Thursday)
President's diary. On Tuesday EP President Schulz will participate in a ceremony in Berlin marking the 50th Treaty of the Elysée and another in the EP in Brussels on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day. On Wednesday and Thursday he will take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
