The Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee will vote on a resolution on banking reform, which will give MEPs' input to the Commission's preparation of new laws that are set to seek far-reaching changes to how banks work. 2014 budget. Commissioner Lewandowski will present the draft budget for 2014 in a special Budgets Committee meeting. 2014 is the first year of the EU's next long-term budget, for which negotiations are still ongoing. (Wednesday)
Serbia. PM Ivica Dačić will be in the Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss Serbia's recent agreement and continued talks with Kosovo. (Wednesday)
Libya. Ali Zeidan, Prime Minister of Libya, will discuss the current situation in his country with MEPs in the Foreign Affairs Committee. (Monday)
EP elections. Early nomination of candidates and improved ballot papers are among draft recommendations to be put to a vote in the Constitutional Affairs Committee. (Tuesday)
Lithuania Presidency. EP President Schulz and EP political group leaders will meet with Lithuania President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, and others, ahead of Lithuania taking the helm of Council. (Thursday-Friday)
President's diary. On Tuesday EP President Martin Schulz will meet with members of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly ahead of their 2-day session in the European Parliament. On Wednesday he holds meetings with Ahmed Al-Jarwan Al Shamsi, President of the Arab Parliament, and with Ivica Dačić, Prime Minister of Serbia.
