60 let evropskega povezovanja: kako je Rimska pogodba tlakovala pot EU

Pred 60 let so se v Rimu zbrali šefi vlad in držav šestih ustanovnih članic Evropske gospodarske skupnosti; v italijanski prestolnici so podpisali Rimsko pogodbo, ki je pomenila začetek evropskega povezovanja. Ta konec tedna bodo v Rim odpotovali predsednik Parlamenta Antonio Tajani, podpredsedniki in kvestorji, ki se bodo udeležili slovesnosti ob tej visoki obletnici; tam se bodo mudili tudi voditelji EU, ki bodo razpravljali o prihodnosti unije. Pred štirimi let se je zrušila tovarniška stavba v glavnem mestu Bangladeša, Daki; pod seboj je pokopala več kot 1100 tekstilnih delavcev, ki so tam izdelovali oblačila za nekatere najbolj znane globalne znamke. 2500 ljudi je bilo ranjenih. Člani odbora za razvoj želijo zagotoviti, da bodo oblačila, naprodaj v EU, narejena v pogojih, ki ne kršijo pravic delavcev na področju varnosti, zdravja in dostojanstva. Več v videu. Plans to adapt more books for blind people backed by Legal Affairs Committee

New draft rules to make more books available in formats designed for blind and visually impaired people were approved by the Legal Affairs Committee on Thursday. The draft legislation, which brings EU law into line with the Marrakesh Treaty, provides for copyright exceptions for formats such as audiobooks and Braille.
