Il-pajjiżi membri tal-UE jridu joħorġu l-flus meħtieġa biex iwettqu l-wegħdiet dwar il-ħolqien tat-tkabbir u l-impjiegi, ir-riċerka u l-iżvilupp u biex l-UE tkun tista' taqdi r-rwol tagħha fil-politika barranija. Dan qaluh l-MEPs hekk kif nhar l-Erbgħa rrifjutaw id-deċiżjoni tal-Kunsill li jnaqqas il-baġit għall-2015. Qabel ma jintlaħaq ftehim dwar il-baġit tas-sena d-dieħla, il-Parlament qiegħed jisħaq li l-ewwel ikun hemm qbil dwar żieda fil-fondi għall-2014. EU countries should act on their economic reform pledges, say MEPs

Plenary Session Economic and monetary affairs22-10-2014 - 14:06

EU countries need to act more like owners of economic policy reform pledges they themselves signed up to, MEPs stress in a report adopted on Wednesday. Given that only 10% of the European Commission's country-specific reform recommendations (CSRs) for 2013 were implemented in full and that little or no progress was made on 45% of them, MEPs believe "there is an inconsistency between European commitment and national implementation of the CSRs by member states".
