The head of the European Counter Terrorism Centre at Europol will present the 2018 EU Terrorism Report to Civil Liberties MEPs on Wednesday afternoon.

Europol’s annual EU Terrorism Situation and Trend Report (TE-SAT) provides an overview of the terrorism situation in the EU. It includes information on terrorist attacks that occurred in 2017, the numbers of arrests and convictions for terrorist offences.

 

The report will be presented by Manuel Navarrate, Head of the European Counter Terrorism Centre at Europol.

 

When: Wednesday 20 June, 15.30-16.15

Background

 

The TE-SAT is a report produced yearly since 2007 by Europol, the EU’s Law Enforcement Agency. It is prepared by experts at Europol and is based on information provided and verified by EU Member States and by Europol’s partners. It also relies on quantitative and qualitative data that Eurojust and the Member States provide.
