Posted workers. Proposals to improve rules on posting workers will be put to a vote in the Employment Committee. Clearer definitions aim to prevent abuse of the system, for example the bypassing of minimum salary rules in one member state by setting up "letter box" companies in others. (Thursday)

Data protection. The Civil Liberties Committee will discuss the US "Prism" surveillance programme - among other issues - with Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding, following her meeting with the US authorities. (Wednesday)

Hungary. The Civil Liberties Committee will vote on a report examining standards and practices with regard to fundamental rights in Hungary. (Wednesday)

Emissions trading. The Environment Committee holds a second vote on a proposal to delay the auction of a number of emissions permits. MEPs are seeking to balance concerns on market intervention while securing adequate and sustainable incentives to green investment. (Wednesday)

Greener fridges. Draft legislation to phase down the use of fluorinated gases in fridges and air-conditioning systems will be put to a vote in the Environment Committee. Some of these so-called "f-gases", such as HFCs, have a climate impact thousands of times more severe than CO2. (Wednesday)

Anti-fraud. The Budgets Control Committee votes on rules for the EU's anti-fraud body OLAF and later discusses OLAF's supervisory committee annual report with OLAF head Giovanni Kessler and Commissioner Šemeta. (Tuesday)

ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. The 25th session of the joint assembly – between EU and African, Caribbean and Pacific nation parliamentarians – will meet to debate the current situation in Mali, the Central African Republic and the Republic of Guinea. Ombudsman. The Petitions Committee will hold hearings for six candidates for the position of EU ombudsman.

President's diary. On Tuesday EP President Martin Schulz will meet David Usupashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia and Igor Corman, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, followed by press point. On Thursday he will be in Lisbon to address a European Year of Citizens conference and inaugurate "Europe square".
