La Conferenza dei Presidenti ha adottato una mozione di risoluzione, proposta dai leader di quattro gruppi politici e dalla commissione per gli affari costituzionali, nella quale sono esposte le condizioni per l’approvazione finale da parte del Parlamento europeo di qualsiasi accordo di uscita con il Regno Unito. Il progetto di risoluzione sarà discusso e votato dal Parlamento mercoledì prossimo in Plenaria. (Seguito: Brexit: i deputati fissano le condizioni per l’accordo di uscita del Regno Unito )

 

Il Governo britannico ha annunciato l’attivazione dell’articolo 50 del Trattato dell’Unione europea. L’annuncio eauivale alla richiesta formale di uscita del Paese dall’Ue. A partire da oggi Regno Unito e Unione europea avranno due anni per negoziare l’accordo sulle modalità con cui avverrà la separazione. “Pur lasciando l’Unione europea, non lasceremo l'Europa”, ha detto il sindaco di Londra Sadiq Khan in visita al Parlamento il 28 marzo. “Per quanto riguarda la sicurezza, la difesa, la finanza e la cultura, faremo ancora parte della famiglia europea”. Khan ha incontrato il Presidente del Parlamento Antonio Tajani per discutere di sicurezza e Brexit. “Non è nell’interesse di nessuno che Londra o il Regno Unito vengano puniti”, ha detto Khan. Lunedì 27 Marzo, pochi giorni dopo l’attacco di Londra, il ministri degli interni tedesco e francese, Thomas de Maizière e Matthias Fekl, hanno discusso sulla sicurezza in Europa con i membri della Commissione per le Libertà Civili. Entrambi hanno espresso la necessità di definire e proteggere le frontiere esterne in modo da poter condividere le informazioni e affrontare insieme agli altri Stati radicalizzazione e terrorismo. Plans to make it easier to move money around within the EU’s long-run budget, to help tackle urgent challenges such as the migration crisis, strengthening security, boosting growth and creating jobs, were backed by the Budgets Committee on Monday. Parliament has long fought for greater flexibility within the Multi-annual Financial Framework (MFF), which would apply for the remainder of the 2014-2020 MFF. Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee MEPs have voted to close loopholes which allow some of the world’s largest corporations to avoid paying tax on profits by exploiting differences in the tax systems of EU and third countries. “Il sogno di un’Europa unita rappresentava la via per lasciarsi per sempre alle spalle l’incubo della guerra”, ha detto Tajani a Roma dove ha partecipato alle celebrazioni per il 60 ° anniversario della creazione dell’Unione Europea. “Dobbiamo essere orgogliosi dell'eredità lasciata ai nostri figli: la libertà di viaggiare, studiare, lavorare, intraprendere, innovare”, ha sottolineato Tajani che ha firmato a nome del Parlamento Ue il testo della "Dichiarazione di Roma". German federal Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maizière and French Minister of the Interior Matthias Fekl will debate EU measures to improve the security situation in Europe and future challenges in the field with the Civil Liberties Committee on Monday from 17.00 to 19.00. In programma questa settimana un dibattito sulla sicurezza con i ministri degli Interni di Germania e Francia, la visita del Presidente palestinese Mahmoud Abbas e del sindaco di Londra Sadiq Khan. Durante la settimana il governo britannico dovrebbe annunciare l'attivazione dell'articolo 50. In programma anche il voto sulla revisione del quadro finanziario pluriennale dell'UE e sulle misure per fermare l'evasione fiscale da parte delle multinazionali. Sessant’anni fa, i leader dei sei Stati membri fondatori si sono riuniti a Roma per sottoscrivere la creazione di un mercato comune europeo, ma soprattutto un’unione per la pace e la prosperità che si è poi esteso alla maggior parte del nostro continente.
