A delegation of the Legal Affairs Committee will visit the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) headquarters in Paris (France) on Monday 21 September. Evelyn REGNER (S&D, AT), Pascal DURAND (Greens/EFA, FR) and Jean-Marie CAVADA (ALDE, FR) will meet representatives of OECD to discuss issues related to corporate governance, including shareholders' rights and gender balance on corporate boards, as well as Intellectual property rights, in particular counterfeiting and piracy. The delegation will also have a meeting with the Secretary-General of OECD, Angel GURRIA.

The Committee on Fisheries will hold a hearing on Multispecies Management Plans - the core long-term management instrument in the Common Fisheries Policy. The first Panel will be on putting in place the landing obligation and technical measures through delegated acts in the Baltic Sea and in other waters. Re-shoring is the opposite process of the widely known off-shoring when EU companies shifted their production and services to lower cost countries. Interparliamentary committee meeting with National Parliaments
Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee with the support of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments
MEPs and national MPs will meet on Wednesday 23 September 2015 to discuss the creation of hotspots, where EU agencies will work on the ground with frontline member states to swiftly identify, register and fingerprint incoming migrants. Hotspots are being set up in Italy and in Greece.
This interparliamentary commitee meeting, organised in the context of the preparation of the strategic report on migration by Roberta METSOLA (EPP, MT) and Kashetu KYENGE (S&D, IT), will also be an opportunity for MEPs, national MPs and EU's Justice and Home Affairs agencies to have a meaningful exchange of views on migration, asylum and border policies, to see how they are being discussed and dealt with at national level.

Euronest MEPs to discuss press freedom in Belarus (Chisinau, Moldova)
MEPs and MPs from EU’s Eastern neighbourhood countries will meet for the 8th time for a session of the working group on Belarus in Chisinau, Moldova on 24 September.
They will hear several Belarussian journalists on the situation of press in Belarus and also Exchange on experience of press transition democracy in Moldova. Also preparations of the forthcoming Presidential elections in Belarus will be discussed during the working session.
Belarus is currently the only one of the EU’s Eastern neighbours whose parliament, for political reasons, is not represented in the Euronest parliamentary assembly bringing together MEPs and their counterparts in the EU’s Eastern neighbourhood states.

MEPs to meet counterparts from Kazakhstan Parliament (Astana, Kazakhstan)
A Delegation of 10 MEPs will go to Kazakhstan next week to hold the 13th meeting of the EU/ Kazakhstan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee on 24 and 25 September in Astana.
MEPs will meet with their counterparts from the Parliament of Kazakhstan to discuss topics of joint concern, such as economic cooperation. MEPs will also meet local non-governmental organizations, political parties and representatives of the Kazakhstan government.

Ms Eleni THEOCHAROUS (EPP, CY) will lead an EP delegation, accompanied by Ms Marijana PETIR (EPP, HR) and Ms Ruža TOMAŠIĆ (ECR, HR) to the inter-parliamentary conference on public service media and the Parliaments in the enlargement countries, in Zagreb.
Together with Members of the Parliaments of Croatia, Albania and Montenegro, of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of the Assemblies of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and of Kosovo, of the National Assembly of Serbia and of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey but also with representatives of the public media services of these countries as well of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and EuroparlTV, MEPs will exchange views on the role of the parliament and public service media and their coexistence, the parliamentary channels, and the media coverage of European Parliament work and elections.

MEPs will meet with the Operation Commander and officers of EU Naval Force Operation Atalanta and with representatives of NATO Allied Maritime Command Headquarters (MARCOM) to debate the current status of Operation Atalanta and of NATO Operation Ocean Shield. Two EP committees to assess situation in Ukraine (Kiev, Ukraine)
MEPs from the EP Trade and Legal affairs committees will be in Kiev, Ukraine on 24-25 September for fact-finding missions about preparations for the implementation of the free trade deal (DCFTA) and to examine how Parliament could assist the local judicial authorities to create better links and relations with the EU. The discussion would touch upon the impact of the EU Trade Preferences on Ukrainian exports and use of the funds from the EU macro-financial assistance, judicial reform process, and cooperation in the field of private international law.
MEPs will meet with members of Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine parliament), government representatives, representatives of the judiciary as well as with the civil society.

Legal Affairs committee delegation to Alicante (Spain)
MEPs from the Legal Affairs Committee will visit the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante (Spain) on 23-24 September. Therese COMODINI CACHIA (EPP, MT), Tadeusz ZWIEFKA (EPP, PL) and Mary HONEYBALL (S&D, UK) will meet the President of OHIM, António CAMPINOS and other staff to discuss the European Trade Mark and Design System, Trade Mark Legal Package, economic impact of IPRs and the role of appeal instances and mediation among other issues.

Women's Rights delegation to Dublin (Ireland)
A delegation of MEPs from the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, led by committee Chair Iratxe GARCÍA PÉREZ (S&D, ES) will visit Dublin on 24-25 September 2015. They will visit Eurofound (European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions) on the occasion of its 40th anniversary. Eurofound was established in 1975 by Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1365/75 to contribute to the planning and design of better living and working conditions in Europe.The MEPs will also meet with the Irish Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances FITZGERALD, and Aodhan O'RIORDAN, Minister of State for Equality, New Communities and Culture to discuss women's issues in the economic crisis, decision making, trafficking and sexual exploitation, equality strategy and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
They will visit RUHAMA, a Dublin-based NGO which works on a national level with women affected by prostitution and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation and also visit a Women's Refuge in Rathmines (south Dublin city). A meeting will also take place at the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (to be confirmed).
Participants include Maria NOICHL (S&D, DE), Maria ARENA (S&D, BE), Nessa CHILDERS (S&D, IE), Ángela VALLINA (GUE/NGL, ES), Jordi SEBASTIÀ (Greens/EFA, ES) and Daniela AIUTO (EFDD, IT).

MEPs to meet counterparts from Kazakhstan Parliament (Astana, Kazakhstan)
A Delegation of 10 MEPs will go to Kazakhstan next week to hold the 13th meeting of the EU/ Kazakhstan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee on 24 and 25 September in Astana.
MEPs will meet with their counterparts from the Parliament of Kazakhstan to discuss topics of joint concern, such as economic cooperation. MEPs will also meet local non-governmental organizations, political parties and representatives of the Kazakhstan government.
