EU member states must stop blocking the proposed anti-discrimination directive, they added.

The EU Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Directive (CRD) aim to stabilise and strengthen the banking system by making banks set aside more and higher quality capital as a cushion against crises. The new rules should also foster a convergence of supervisory practices across the EU. Banks that are better able to withstand future crises should be more capable of financing investment and growth.

Dziś startuje szósta edycja konkursu o Nagrodę im. Karola Wielkiego dla Młodzieży organizowanego przez Parlament Europejski i Międzynarodową Fundację Nagrody Karola Wielkiego w Akwizgranie. Nagroda jest przyznawana młodym ludziom realizującym projekty promujące wzajemne zrozumienie między obywatelami krajów Unii Europejskiej. Ostateczny termin składania projektów upływa 28 stycznia 2013 roku.
