Posiedzenie plenarne Parlamentu Europejskiego odbywa się od 27 do 30 kwiecień 2015

 
 

Posłowie ocenią projekt „Europejskiej agendy bezpieczeństwa” podczas debaty z Franzem Timmermansem, wiceprzewodniczącym Komisji, i Dimitrisem Avramopoulosem, komisarzem odpowiedzialnym za sprawy wewnętrzne, we wtorek o 15:00, zaraz po przyjęciu projektu przez Komisję Europejską. Agenda aktualizuje obecną Strategię bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego UE, określa kluczowe priorytety i działania na rzecz przeciwdziałania terroryzmowi, przestępczości zorganizowanej i komputerowej w latach 2015-2020. Sesja rozpoczęła się minutą ciszy dla uczczenia pamięci osób, które 25 kwietnia poniosły śmierć w wyniku trzęsienia ziemi w Nepalu i imigrantów, którzy zginęli 20 kwietnia u wybrzeży Morza Śródziemnego. Przewodniczący Parlamentu Martin Schulz przekazał wyrazy głębokiego współczucia rodzinom i bliskim ofiar. „Europa powinna wypracować wspólna politykę azylową i migracyjną. Taką, która będzie ludzka i realistyczna” – apelował do przywódców UE zgromadzonych na szczycie szef Parlamentu Europejskiego Martin Schulz. Szczyt został zwołany po wypadku łodzi, w którym zginęły setki ludzi próbujących przedostać się do Europy. „Naszym priorytetem powinna być ochrona życia, tych, którzy przeprawiają się przed morze” – dodał Schulz. Carbon monoxide can kill, so gas ovens should be professionally installed and maintained. But oven gloves need not be subject to EU safety rules unless they are labelled “protective”, said Internal Market Committee MEPs voting on draft EU rules on Thursday. Annual and multi-annual programming and the revision of the 2003 Inter-institutional agreement on "Better Law making", which aims to simplify and improve the regulatory environment, will be discussed by the Conference of Presidents (EP President and political group leaders) and Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans on Thursday at around 11.00. Development MEPs urged EU member countries to respect their Official Development Assistance (ODA) target of 0.7% of national income and to set timetables for reaching it by 2020. It also highlighted the need to mobilise domestic resources efficiently in developing countries and stressed the importance of private-sector contributions in a resolution on financing development adopted on Monday. A negotiating brief on the “Juncker” plan for a European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) to guarantee growth and job-creating investment was backed by the Budgets and Economic and Monetary Affairs committees on Monday evening. But MEPs contested plans to feed the fund from the EU research and transport investment budgets, and called for more parliamentary control over its leadership and goals. Plans to improve and broaden the use of a simplified procedure for low-value cross-border claims to recover money from abroad, so as to cut costs and paperwork for both consumers and businesses, were backed by the legal affairs committee on Thursday.
