El Parlamento Europeo publica en una web especial una selección de libros, estudios y trabajos académicos sobre las ideas en las que se cimenta la integración europea y el pensamiento político. Se trata de obras en diferentes idiomas elaboradas por autores de toda Europa. El objetivo del proyecto es presentar las ideas y las personas que han impulsado la construcción europea, lo que también puede servir para encontrar soluciones a los desafíos actuales. El diputado Nirj Deva, de los Conservadores y Reformistas británicos, trabaja en un informe sobre cómo podría contribuir el sector privado en el fomento del desarrollo a nivel mundial. Desde hoy, los ciudadanos pueden participar en una discusión abierta con Nirj Deva a través de la página del Parlamento Europeo en LinkedIn. Todo el mundo puede hacer llegar al diputado sus opiniones y sugerencias, que podrían verse reflejadas en el informe final que vote el pleno. Pierre Krähenbühl, comisionado general de la Agencia de Obras Públicas y Socorro de Naciones Unidas y encargado de ayudar a cinco millones de refugiados de Palestina en Jordania, Líbano, Siria y los territorios palestinos, intervino el 2 de marzo ante la comisión parlamentaria de Asuntos Exteriores. Emancipar a mujeres y niñas mediante la educación es el tema principal de la edición de 2015 del Día Internacional de la Mujer. El Parlamento Europeo ha puesto en marcha una comisión especial sobre las resoluciones fiscales, una vez que la Comisión Europea ha abierto una serie de investigaciones sobre este tipo de tratamientos fiscales ventajosos de los que podrían estar beneficiándose empresas multinacionales en los veintiocho países de la Unión Europea. Due to works at the European Parliament accreditation centre in Brussels, journalists needing an access badge for one or more days should address themselves to a special desk in the entrance hall of the Altiero Spinelli building. The European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) must focus on currently underfunded areas, so as to complement, not duplicate, other EU budget tools, said MEPs at Monday’s expert hearing on the Juncker investment plan proposals. The hearing was held by the Budgets and Economic and Monetary Affairs committees with a view to shaping legislation for the investment plan.
