The European Parliament Conference of Presidents (EP President and political group leaders) today debated the package of proposals adopted by Commission on refugee and migration policies. A cerimónia de entrega do Prémio Carlos Magno para a Juventude teve lugar esta terça-feira, 3 de maio, em Aachen, na Alemanha. O primeiro prémio foi atribuído ao projeto italiano de apoio à integração de refugiados InteGREAT. O segundo prémio foi atribuído a um jogo de mesa grego “Procurando Carlos Magno” e o terceiro ao projeto britânico “Conselho Europeu da Juventude”, uma conferência internacional sobre assuntos europeus. Há muito tempo que a luta contra a evasão fiscal das empresas é uma prioridade do Parlamento Europeu. On Sunday 8 May in Strasbourg and on Saturday 28 May in Brussels, the European Parliament and other EU institutions will open their doors to the general public, a unique opportunity to discover the diversity of Europe in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Public sector bodies' websites and mobile applications will have to be made accessible to everyone, under a provisional deal struck by Parliament and Council negotiators on Tuesday night. Over 167 million EU citizens have a disability (either medical or due to age) which prevents them accessing data and services on the Internet, e.g. to file a tax declaration, apply for an allowance, pay fees or register a child at school. The award ceremony will take place at the Vatican on 6 May at 12:00. It will be introduced by “laudatio” speeches by European Parliament President Martin Schulz, Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Council President Donald Tusk. On the previous day, the three EU Presidents will take part in a panel debate about the state of the EU, preceded by an address by Italian PM Matteo Renzi. O Registo de Transparência Europeu, onde se inscrevem os representantes de grupos de interesse que pretendam influenciar o trabalho das instituições europeias, vai ser modificado. A Comissão Europeia lançou uma consulta pública para recolher opiniões sobre a reforma desta base de dados, que inclui entre outras medidas, a passagem de um registo voluntário para um sistema obrigatório. A partir de dia 30 de abril, as tarifas de roaming vão ser reduzidas mais uma vez e partir do dia 15 de junho de 2017, vai poder efetuar chamadas ou utilizar dados móveis, em qualquer país da União Europeia, pelo mesmo preço que o faria se estivesse em casa.
