A nossa infografia explica o processo.

The pharmaceutical industry is raising the prices of new, life-saving medicines ever higher, thus threatening the equal access to treatments while increasing the burden on healthcare systems, said MEPs during a debate with Council and the Commission on Tuesday. The issue will be discussed during the next informal Health Council meeting of 22-23 September. (Read more: MEPs question high pricing of certain life-saving medicines )

Hopes and fears for the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which has been negotiated but still needs Parliament’s backing to enter into force, were aired in a debate with EU trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht on Tuesday. (Read more: MEPs split over EU free trade deal with Canada )

More effort is needed to integrate the EU digital single market, so as to unlock its growth and job-creating potential, stressed MEPs in Tuesday’s debate with EU Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier. Measures to bring together the 28 national digital markets should include ending mobile roaming charges, promoting e-commerce, ensuring open access to the Internet for users and neutral treatment of its service providers, and also better data protection, they added. (Read more: Digital single market needs to be better integrated, say MEPs )
