Press conference by EP President Tajani and European Court of Auditors President Lehne

EP President Antonio Tajani will hold a press conference with the President of the European Court of Auditors (ECA) Klaus-Heiner Lehne on Wednesday at 17.00 in Strasbourg.

The press conference will follow the Conference of Presidents meeting, where leaders of political groups will discuss the ECA 2018-2020 strategy and work programme for 2018 as well as the EU’s long-run budget, the 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework, with President Lehne.

 

The ECA, the EU’s Luxembourg-based financial watchdog, marks its 40th anniversary this year. Its annual and special reports play a crucial role in Parliament’s  annual “discharge” procedure for scrutinising the EU budget
