PURPOSE : to extend the period of validity of the aid scheme and the quality strategy for olive oil.
COMMUNITY MEASURE : Council Regulation 1513/2001/EC amending Regulations 136/66/EEC and 1638/98/EC as regards the extension of the period of validity of the aid scheme and the quality strategy for olive oil.
CONTENT : while the measures introduced by the last regulation had permitted a number of improvements to the common organisation of the market, a number of information gathered and the experience gained during the 1998/99 and 1999/2000 marketing years were neither complete nor sufficient to enable the Commission to draw substantial and definitive conclusions regarding the common market organisation in oils and fats to be implemented from 1 November 2001.
This Regulation extends the period of validity of the provisions currently in force until the 2003/04 marketing year.
This Regulation shall apply from 01/11/2001.
