Pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species. Codification

PURPOSE: codification of Council Directive 77/504/EEC on pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Directive 2009/157/EC on pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species (codified version).

CONTENT: the purpose of this Directive is to undertake a codification of Council Directive 77/504/EEC of 25 July 1977 on pure-bred breeding animals of the bovine species. The new Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. It fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bringing them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.

ENTRY INTO FORCE: 30/12/2009. The Directive is applicable from 02/01/2010.
