Festival of Europe 2014: Join us on 10 May!

The Festival of Europe is a celebration of Robert Schuman's famous speech. He delivered it on 9 May 1950 and it was to be the impulse that set the creation of the European Union in motion.

This year's anniversary is particularly important, as it will take place 2 weeks before the European elections of 25 May.

Luxembourg will celebrate the Festival of Europe with a European village, and the Court of Justice of the European Union will also open its doors to the public.

On the Place Clairefontaine in the city centre


From 11.00: opening of the European village where you can discover the different European institutions and Member States

11.30 - 16.00: guided tours by bus in the European district

Departure from the Place Clairefontaine at 11.30, 13.00, 14.30, 16.00 - Duration : 1 hour 25 minutes

14.00: Official opening

Possibility to meet candidates running in the European elections.

Cultural programme throughout the day.

End of the Festival at 18.00.
