Welcome to the European Parliament's Fact Sheets.

The aim of the Fact Sheets is to provide an overview of European integration and of the European Parliament's contribution to that process.

Online version of the Fact Sheets

The online version of the Fact Sheets that you find here is reviewed and updated - where necessary - at quarterly intervals throughout the year. It is now available in three languages - English, French and German:

The current version takes into account the changes introduced by recent treaties and refers, where appropriate, to the Constitutional Treaty.

For the latest online version, we have added the name of the author(s) of each Fact Sheet. For more information on the latest version please consult our page Information for the Reader.

The Fact Sheets in book form

In addition, the Fact Sheets are published by the Office for Official Publications in book form twice during the parliamentary term in all official languages. A revised text will be published in the autumn of 2007. It will also be available on CD-ROM.
