Mrs Bonino was Chief Observer of the EU Observation Mission in 2005 to Afghanistan for the parliamentary and provincial elections which took place on 18 September 2005. At the time she was an Italian Member of the European Parliament. The project in question relates to the contract established for Mrs Bonino.
