The Commission draws the Honourable Member attention to Written Questions E‑003538/2011(1) and E‑004782/20111 which explain in detail the rules governing the appointment of members of the Management Board of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The same rules apply across all the activities of EFSA, including its Scientific Committee and Panels.
