The Register of interest representatives opened by the Commission in June 2008 includes, as of 23 November 2010, 3 262 registered organisations. The breakdown by categories of these organisations is as follows:

This information, permanently updated online, is available to the public at large through the Europa web server ‘register of interest representative’ page. Citizens have thus direct and full access to the declarations made by registered organisations, including a series of financial elements such as how much financial effort they allocate to influence the EU decision making processes.
