Parliamentary questions
13 June 2018
P-002609/2018
Answer given by Ms Vestager on behalf of the Commission

The Commission is currently assessing the complaint concerning the alleged aid to State-owned energy companies resulting from an amendment to the act on renewable energy sources modifying the calculation methodology of a substitute fee. When dealing with complaints the Commission follows the procedure set out in the Procedural Regulation (Council Regulation (EU) 2015/1589 of 13 July 2015 laying down detailed rules for the application of Article 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union). At this stage the relevant exchanges take place between the Commission, the complainant and the Member State. The Commission is therefore not in position to provide more detailed information about the discussions on this matter as the assessment is ongoing. The Commission has not yet taken a position on the merits of the complaint.
