European Parliament Election Week
European Parliament Elections. Some 375 million voters across Europe are eligible to vote in the seventh set of direct elections to the European Parliament, which take place from Thursday to Sunday 4-7 June, according to different national traditions.
Election results night. On Sunday night, as results start to come in, Parliament’s press service offers a range of facilities for both the written and audiovisual media to keep up with the latest exit polls, early results and preliminary projections of the make-up of the new Parliament. Press conferences linking up the political group leaders in cities around Europe will be broadcast in the Parliamentary chamber. Parliament’s press room will be open on Saturday from midday to midnight, on Sunday from midday to 03.00h on Monday, and on Monday morning from 8h.
Press briefing on the election night. A Press Service technical briefing on press events and facilities at the 7 June European election night will be given at 11.00h on 2 June in the Anna Politkovskaya Room (PHS 0A50).
Whit Monday Holiday. Please note that Parliament’s offices will be closed on Monday 1 June, which is a public holiday.
