EPP nominee László Tőkés of Romania was elected as one of Parliament's 14 Vice-Presidents on Tuesday by 334 votes in favour with 287 abstentions. Mr Tőkés replaces former Vice-President Pál Schmitt (EPP, HU) following the latter's election as Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament.
