The Sunni insurgents have taken control of the largest dam in Iraq. This gives them the capability to create enormous flooding in Mosul (a city of 1.5 million inhabitants), and even as far as Baghdad, or to cause serious drought by shutting down the provision of water.

Does the EU have any position on this matter?
