Recreational anglers are important stakeholders for fishery resource management authorities and valuable contributors to local, regional, and national economies. Recent Commission proposals seek to ban recreational fishing while allowing commercial fishing to continue. This will have an unfair, unenforceable, and disproportionate effect on the recreational fishing sector.

What measures are being taken to ensure that the concerns of the recreational fishing sector are being taken into account?
