Welcomes the efforts by the US administration to rebuild trust through the umbrella agreement, as well as the fact that the Judicial Redress Act of 2015 has been put before Congress; considers it of paramount importance to ensure the same rights in all the same circumstances of effective judicial redress for EU citizens/individuals whose personal data are processed in the EU and transferred to the US, without any discrimination between EU and US citizens; calls on Congress to pass legislation guaranteeing this; underlines that one prerequisite for signature and conclusion of the umbrella agreement is the adoption of the Judicial Redress Act in the US Congress;12.
