  Zacharakis (PPE-DE). – (EL) I thank the President-in-Office of the Council for his reply. I have taken note of the warnings given by the Council to the Albanian Government and I trust that the Council will closely monitor the application of the necessary preconditions for smooth developments in relations between Albania and the European Union as regards respect for human and political rights in Albania.
