  Maria do Céu Patrão Neves (PPE), in writing. – (PT) I voted in favour of this resolution. I would like to highlight the concern for farmers, who need to be sure of obtaining a decent, fair income and remuneration for their work. In fact, farmers in many regions are struggling financially and thus it is necessary for the Commission to tackle the issue of rural poverty and the collapse of rural communities. I also believe that increasing food security, creating sustainable systems of production and supply and minimising food waste remain crucial in the long run.
