  Liam Aylward and Pat the Cope Gallagher (ALDE), in writing. - We believe that national contributions to the EU budget based on GNI and VAT based revenue provide the fairest and most effective way to fund the EU budget. We welcome the establishment of the High Level Group on Own Resources, which was part of the agreement on the MFF for the period 2014 to 2020. We await the recommendations of the High Level Group on alternative financing arrangements, keeping in mind our view on the matter.
