Nigel Farage, on behalf of the EFDD Group. – Mr President, under normal circumstances, this debate should not be needed at all.

(Heckling)

My goodness me, you are scared, aren’t you?

Under normal circumstances, we should not need to discuss the common application of rules to all Members and Groups in this House, but ever since the Brexit vote there has been persistent victimisation of every Eurosceptic Group in this Parliament, whilst, at the same time, we see the accusations in Der Spiegel of your predecessor, Mr Schultz, playing very fast and loose with the rules.

The reason I want this debate, Mr President, is to establish whether, under your new chairmanship, it is the intention of this place – and your intention, indeed – to treat all Members equally and fairly, regardless of their political opinions.
