  Tim Aker (EFDD), blue-card answer. – Yes, that’s a very good point, and what you see is a race to the bottom in contracts. But the experience in Preston is that if they keep contracts local and give to small and local businesses, the money is respent and reinvested, and local people are employed, which in the medium term will reduce expenditure at local government level. So I quite agree; I think it’s time that the rules were changed to keep money as local as possible to help the local economy.
