ORAL QUESTION WITH DEBATE O-0087/04
pursuant to Rule 108 of the Rules of Procedure
by James Elles and José Salafranca Sánchez-Neyra, on behalf of the PPE-DE Group
to the Commission

The US President, George W. Bush, has announced his intention of coming to Europe in early 2005 in order to hold meetings with NATO and the European Union.

Given the prospect of the EU and US Administrations being in power between 2005 and 2008, what priorities are being considered so that the powers on both sides of the Atlantic may deepen their mutual cooperation and thereby strengthen the Transatlantic Partnership in the long term?
