- José Ignacio Salafranca Sánchez-Neyra again raised the case of Orlando Zapata and asked the President to send Parliament's condolences to his family and to inform the Cuban authorities that this death was deplorable.

- Elmar Brok had asked for a split vote on paragraph 10 outside the deadline.

Parliament rejected the request by electronic vote (284 in favour, 299 against, 24 abstentions).

- Elmar Brok had asked for a split vote on paragraph 20 outside the deadline.

Parliament rejected the request by electronic vote (261 in favour, 331 against, 18 abstentions).
