Utilisation of budget heading A-3046

Following numerous complaints from women's organisations which are, for various reasons, not part of the European Women's Lobby, Parliament introduced, in the 2002 Union budget, a new heading, A-3046, to which a total of EUR 300 000 was allocated.

 

The main purpose of this new heading is to assist the operations of women's organisations which are not part of the Lobby (those which are have traditionally benefited from heading A-3037, devoted exclusively to them).

 

Can the Commission state how the new heading is being used and which organisations have benefited from it to date?

 

Should no utilisation have been made so far of this heading, can the Commission explain the reasons for the delay?
